The updated NEOTT rulebook is here.   The key changes are:

- NATC rule change - both axles must pass between the gates i.e. no floating the front axle over a gate.  Floating the axle over a gate will get you a 5.

- If you DNF (Do not finish) you can still earn NEOTT points.  In the past if you DNF'd you got zero points for your effort which kinda sucked actually. Now there is a mechanism that allows you to still earn some points based on the number of sections ridden.  So if you DNF - still TURN IN YOUR CARD you may be eligible to still get some points.

- Group rides - there were no provisions in the rule book for group rides so added a section for that.  Bottom line someone else must punch your card - the group can figure out how they want to do that (swap cards, alternate scorers at each section...)

Jan 14th Club Meeting Highlights:

- Expanded the governance committee to 7 voting members by adding the Safety Coordinator and Officer-at-large as voting members. The officers and their roles are:

Charles Martin, Treasurer
Jon Stoodley, Equipment and Membership
Paul Bolen, Safety Officer
Kevin Kight, Officer at Large and Awards
 

- Defined the 2010 schedule, see the schedule page.
- Approved having more events at Scipio in 2010 in order to maintain \expand the area for a chance at hosting a National event there in 2011
- Agreed to continue to support NEOTT riders that attend Central Regional Trials Series by covering 50% of their event entry fees, excluding Octobertest

- There is a NATC rule change - "Minor rule change to not allow floating an axle over a gate marker. Both axles must go through a gate in the section."  The club agreed to follow this rule in 2010.  Trialsmasters will review the rule prior to each event.

- Discussed and agreed to ease up the difficultly factor on  the Intermediate lines due to the number of riders moving up to Intermediate this year. 

- Approved and registered www.octobertest.com as an Internet domain name.  We'll build out the Octobertest content in the next few months.  For now it comes back to the www.neott.com site.

- Reviewed and approved some material samples of the new jerseys and pants.  The jerseys are nicely vented in the back and the pants are flexy in all the right places.  Next step is to get some sizing samples.

- It was noted that the club manual and rulebook needs updating to match the structure of the organization and several other changes.   This is expected to be completed by the February event.

- Recognized that Shan Moore was inducted into the NATC Hall of Fame.  Nomination was made to award Shan NEOTT lifetime membership status and all agreed.  Got a couple of photos of Shan from "back in the day" (thanks Jon)


 

The design for the official NEOTT jerseys and jackets is in - click on the image to see the full details - very very cool.  Jerseys will be $50, Jackets $60 and pants will also be available for $90.  The clothing is being ordered from http://champ-sys.com/custom/bmx-downhill if you want more details about their products.  These are loose fitting BMX style clothes not tri-athlete body glove style.

2006 GasGas 280 Pro:  $3,000 OBO. Ohlins shock. Bike was gone through from front axle to rear axle last winter by professional mechanic.
Suspension rebuilt, all bearings checked and regreased, steering head, swing arm, linkage, etc. New ring, shift shaft and a few gears
that were showing wear were replaced as well. Bike runs and rides great. Connor is moving to a new bike and is selling this GG trials
bike and his 2000 GG 250 XC $1500 OBO as well if you need a nice enduro bike.
